Challenge #420: Use Storyline 360's New Features

My entry received a short write-up in the weekly challenge Recap on Articulate's E-Learning Heroes Challenge of the Week.

The challenge was to use any of Storyline 360's new features. I incorporated the following features along with the circular menu interaction, which was featured in challenge #406:

Challenge #425Using Learning Journals in E-Learning

The challenge was to show how digital journals can be used in e-Learning for note-taking, reflection, etc. I added a reflection journal to a Rise course I had created previously, Intro to Meditation.

Challenge #421:  Using True/False Variables in eLearning

The challenge was to share an example that demonstrates how true/false variables can be used in eLearning. I created a simple branching scenario in the form of a travel survey. The learner is offered a series of two choices. After selecting their preferences, the learner views a result slide showing a travel destination that fits their requirements. Well-known instructional designer Christy Tucker recently shared an article discussing the reasons for using feedback layers or separate slides to build branching scenarios. I chose to use separate slides, since the combination of choices selected would result in an entirely different ending each time.

Challenge #419:  Floor, Wall, and Baseboard

The challenge was to add depth and perspective to a slide by creating a floor, wall, and baseboard.
